Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy

This Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy (“Policy”) applies to all products sold and services provided by Iron North Machining Ltd. (“Iron North”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including purchases made through our online store and all custom, prototype, and contract machining services.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, which govern in the event of any inconsistency.
1. General Policy
Due to the nature of precision manufacturing and custom machining, refund eligibility varies depending on the type of product or service provided.
All refund, return, or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@ironnorthcan.ca and are subject to review and approval by Iron North.
No refunds, returns, or cancellations are guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing by Iron North.
2. Custom & Contract Machining Services
This includes, but is not limited to:

Custom-machined parts
-
Prototypes
-
Made-to-order or made-to-specification components
-
Contract manufacturing jobs
-
Work based on customer-supplied designs, drawings, samples, or specifications
Final Sale
All custom and contract machining services are final sale.
Once production, material procurement, programming, or setup has commenced, no refunds or cancellations will be permitted.
All deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Non-Conforming Work
If a delivered product does not materially conform to the written specifications expressly agreed to by Iron North:

You must notify Iron North within seven (7) days of delivery

Claims submitted after this period will be deemed accepted
At Iron North’s sole discretion, remedies may include:

Repair
-
Remanufacture
-
Partial refund
-
Full refund
Iron North is not responsible for defects, failures, or performance issues resulting from:

Inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous specifications

Design flaws or engineering errors supplied by the customer
-
Customer-supplied materials
-
Improper use, installation, storage, or modification after delivery
3. Online Store – Standard Products
This section applies only to non-custom, standard products sold through the Iron North online store.
Eligible Returns
Standard products may be eligible for return within fourteen (14) days of delivery, provided that:

The item is unused

The item is in original condition
-
The item is in original packaging
Return authorization is required prior to shipment.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

Custom or made-to-order products

Products marked “final sale”

Used, altered, or damaged items

Items returned without authorization
Restocking Fees
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%, depending on the nature and condition of the item.

4. Defective or Damaged Items
If a product arrives damaged or defective due to a manufacturing error attributable to Iron North:

You must notify us within seven (7) days of receipt

Photos and order details must be provided
At Iron North’s discretion, we may:

Repair the item

Replace the item

Issue a refund
Damage caused during shipping must be reported promptly and may require claims to be made with the carrier.
Shipping costs are non-refundable, except where required by law or where Iron North determines the issue resulted solely from our error.
5. Shipping Costs

Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed in writing

Iron North is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may range from 5 to 10 business days following approval. Banking institutions may require additional processing time.

7. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before production, processing, or material procurement begins.
Once production has commenced, cancellations are not permitted, and any amounts paid will be forfeited.
8. Exchanges
Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
Iron North reserves the right to refuse exchanges at its discretion.
9. Quebec Residents
While Iron North Machining Ltd. primarily operates outside the Province of Quebec, individuals located in Quebec who interact with our website or purchase standard products acknowledge that transactions are governed by this Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and applicable Canadian laws.
